DIED ON THE 26TH FEBRUARY, 2006. AGED 17 YEARS SCOTT WAS A FULL TIME STUDENT AT SANDWELL COLLEGE, AS WELL AS DOING A LIFE SAVING COURSE AT ALEXZANDRA COLLEGE, HE WORKED AS A GLASS COLLECTOR ON MATCH DAYS AT THE WEST BROMWICH ALBION GROUND AND HAD JUST STARTED WORKING PART TIME FOR SUBWAY IN WEST BROMWICH. SCOTT LIVED IN WEST BROMWICH, WITH HIS PARENTS AND BROTHERS DANIEL, LIAM, RYAN AND CALLUM AND HIS SISTER MEGAN. SCOTT WAS KILLED BY A HIT AND RUN BLACK CAB AND DRAGGED FOR OVER A MILE AND THROUGH SEVEN STREETS TO HIS DEATH UNDER THE WHEELS OF THE CAB.HIS BODY EVENTUALLY CAME FREE AND WAS LEFT IN THE ROAD THEN THE DRIVER RODE OFF.
THE DRIVER WAS CHARGED WITH MURDER AND RECIVED A 3 YEAR SENTANCE TOLD YO SERVE 18 MONTHS I TOOK IT TO LONDON AND WON BUT HE STILL ONLY GOT 5 YEARS, NOW HE HAS ASKED FOR DAY RELEASE TO VISIT HIS FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS HE HAS ONLY SERVED JUST OVER A YEAR, MY SON CANT COME BACK TO VISIT ME AND IM SO ANGRY THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY .SCOTT\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'S MURDERER LOST HIS APPEAL ON THE 6TH DECEMBER AND WILL NOT BE OUT FOR NOW.
SCOTT WAS A FUN LOVING TEENAGER WHO LIVED FOR HIS FAMILY HE HAD WORKED AS A GLASS COLLECTOR SINCE THE AGE OF 14 AND WAS STUDYING HARD AT COLLEGE AND HAD ALMOST QUALIFIED AS A LIFEGUARD TOO, HE LIKED HAVING FUN AND PLAYED FOOTBALL FOR A LOCAL CHURCH TEAM, SCOTT MADE AN IMPACT ON EVERYONE HE MET RESULTING IN A MINUTES SILENCE BEING HELD IN HIS MEMORY AT THE WEST BROMWICH ALBION GROUND HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY ALL OF THE FRIENDS HE HAD MADE AND ESPECIALLY HIS FAMILY AND GIRLFRIEND LAUREN. OVER A THOUSAND PEOPLE ATTENDED THE FUNERAL INCLUDING MEMBERS OF WEST BROMWICH ALBION BOARD AND EX PLAYERS, SHOPS CLOSED IN RESPECT TOO. THE ALBION HELD THE WAKE UP THE GROUND AND A CHARITY MATCH WAS PLAYED UP THE GROUND WITH OVER 4000 PEOPLE TURNING OUT, THERE HAVE BEEN TRIBUTES INCLUDING A BENCH FROM SANDWELL COUNCIL IN THE GROUNDS OF THE MANOR HOUSE A PLAQUE ON THE WALL IS THERE TOO WEST BROMWICH ALBION ALSO BOUGHT SCOTT A STAR \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' SCOTT\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'S STAR\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' I AM VERY PROUD OF MY SON AND HOUNOURED TO HAVE BEEN HIS MOTHER. I didn't know this young man but since we share the same name, Scott Poll, I feel connected and feel very sad about his murder. To the family, I am truly sorry about this and I hope something good can come from this senseless loss of life.
